Rick Copeland Vice President of Sales for North America, Dow Coating Solutions.

Prior to this role, Copeland was the North America Sales Director for the Dow Latex business, which was in addition to his North America Sales Leader role for UCAR Emulsion Systems.

Copeland’s began his career with Union Carbide Corp. as a technical representative in 1982 in New Jersey. He then was named Market Development Manager for UNICARB Systems in Chicago, IL, in 1991. Other prior experience includes serving to align the R&D and commercial efforts for the Automotive Plastics’ Parts Team in Charleston, WV, in 1992, then becoming District Sales Manager for Solvents, Intermediates and Monomers in the UCC Houston Sales Office in 1995. In 2000, Copeland was named Union Carbide Regional Sales Manager for the Southwest and West regions.

Copeland is a graduate from the University of Virginia with a bachelor’s degree in management, English and speech. His interests include jogging, golf, tennis, politics and motivational speaking to high school and college students. He is also a Life Member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity. Copeland currently resides in Raleigh, NC, and has two daughters.
