Carlos Nielsen Director of Finance

Carlos Nielsen is the Finance Director for Dow Coating Solutions. He also serves on the Leadership Team and is responsible for finance.

Nielsen began his career with Dow in 1987 in pharmaceutical production. He then held various positions in project engineering and plant supervisory roles. In 1994, Nielsen was named Latin America Business analyst for Hydrocarbons and Polyethylene, moving to Global Business Analyst in 1998 for Styrene and Cumene. In 2001, he became Finance Manager for Global Wire and Cable, moving to include Fibers and NBD in 2003. Nielsen then advanced to Finance Director for Dow Latex in 2006, then for the Coatings and Adhesives MFBs in 2007.

His experience includes various divestiture projects, active participation with JVs, and acquisition and expansion projects.

Nielsen holds a chemical engineering degree from the University of Buenos Aires and an MBA from the University of Belgrano, Argentina.
